Yes, I finally did it … My temporary copy of this blog is hosted here at http://www.Einho.co.cc !

And there, you can see posts tagged with “normal” tags (I called them “Themes”, because they’re themes featured in those posts), hierarchical categories … but also private Taxonomies, for now, just 2, the “Language” and the “Audience” taxonomies.

Languages are “tagging” posts with the languages featured inside.
Audience is the audience that this post is meant to (all posts are by default ”all audience”, so they’re featured in the “Home” page, “Private” are posts for family/friends, and “Pro” are posts meant for professional and technical audience.

To achieve this, I looked (with my poor PHP knowledge) for popular plugin’s (”Custom Taxonomies”, “Simple Taxonomies”, “Series” and ”Organize Series”) to see what they’re doin’, and how they’re doin’ it … I managed them to heavily modify a basis to reach my needs.

For “Pages”, I also adapted the “Page Links To” plugin’, by really simplifyin’ it to just change the permalink of the page’s button.

Too bad I can’t do “crossover” taxonomies … maybe I’ll check for some “advanced search” plugin’s.

Here is an interesting way for managing hierarchical and crossover categories/tags.

It would be interesting to have :

1) An independent language tagging (independent from general categories/tags/pages).

2) A selective pages, so we can post in a specific page … for other people, it’s like making crossover categories: images/photos, books/CDs collections, portfolio … etc.

This is a post for adding a bunch of Tags, seems the only way to import its own prepared tags from a table or txt file.

Too bad Wordpress doesn’t have a better “tags” and “categories” maker.

It would be good if we had a graphical (or at least a Rich Text format based on Tables) maker for categories and tags, we could at least easily make a good hierarchical and crossover dependencies.
